Leighton has been awarded a six-year mining contract for the provision of open cut mining services in Satui, South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Leighton shall provide all necessary and sufficient project management, mine planning, surveying, supervision, site security, materials, equipment, equipment maintenance, labour, transportation, medical services, consumables and site infrastructure.

The Government of Malaysia under the Railway Infrastructure Development Project is upgrading the Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad’s (KTMB) existing single track railway infrastructure between Ipoh to Butterworth sector and Bukit Mertajam to Padang Besar sector (approximate distance of 329 km) into a modern electrified double tracking network.
